frequently asked questions

When was One Source Networks founded?

One Source Networks was founded at the end of 2006 by Ernest Cunningham, a telecom veteran. Ernest built the company on the principle that a multi-carrier approach would allow the company to address requirements of single sourcing, flexibility and pricing and focus on the customers` agendas rather than pushing a solution defined by the corporation. One Source Networks was born to provide customers with that flexibility. The company officially launched in February 2007.

How is the OSN model different?

OSN combines its own fully-redundant infrastructure with services from over 150 of the world’s top suppliers to meet the unique network needs of its client base.  OSN does not  sell carriers products; it engineers solutions to meet the needs of its enterprise customers.  It is  neutral to all carriers in order to provide the best integrated solution for any type of  network.  OSN’s model leverages wholesale contract rates, combined with a superior business service model, to deliver aggressive pricing that exceeds expectations on service and delivery.

How does One Source deliver services?

One Source Networks provides turn-key solutions from design through implementation and invoicing. We begin with a complete pre-sales design consultation and vendor analysis. Once the solution is agreed upon, we provide professional project management for implementation. All contract work, ordering and billing is via the One Source Networks` team, giving you a simple and effective solution from end to end.

We offer multiple options from basic network monitoring through to full managed services. If basic monitoring is chosen, the client is responsible for their configurations and equipment. We offer full CPE supply and network management as well, to provide an end to end solution.

How does OSN implement its services?

OSN provides complete support for ordering, project management and provisioning. Once the network is delivered, OSN performs extensive testing and ensures interoperability between the client and the carrier networks. Once the client network is tested and accepted, the service is operational and ready to send traffic.

Does OSN own its own network?

OSN is facilities-based for its cloud-based services including voice, video and fax and owns its fully redundant infrastructure. We have a network of advanced gateways and feature servers that integrate VoIP termination and toll free services from many of the world`s top carriers. Furthermore, our feature servers deliver advanced cloud-based voice applications such as Virtual PBX and Virtual Fax to eliminate your need for on premises hardware.

OSN is also a global network provider working together with over 150 best of breed global suppliers. This means that we do not own a data network, but rather we bring you the best solutions from multiple carriers around the world. Because no traditional carrier can do it all, this approach allows us to leverage multiple carriers to bring you diversity, redundancy and reduced cost over what you would receive from a single telecom carrier.
